Hi there fellow South Australians',

As many of you are aware, Catrina and I closed our Mt Barker showroom at the end of May, 2026. The landscape of the industry "as a whole" had changed and deteriorated significantly during the preceding 12 months. There are currently thousands of near new second hand vans for sale out there today. Prices have tumbled. Margins have diminished.

Today, people are buying them sight unseen from auction houses and interstate private sellers.

Despite closing, we've still been selling the odd new Blue Tongue Hybrid Caravan though, to those who want one. Our phone keeps ringing! We did sell quite a few here and there over the years and SA customers either know someone who's got one (which they've seen) or have been confident enough to order one based on walk through videos and the spec sheet of the van, knowing full well what they'll be getting. No surprises. No gimmicks.  No dramas. That's how we always operated anyway.

No longer having that expensive "bricks and mortar" overhead means we can supply you a new van, directly to your door (within reason; maybe not to Ceduna or Port Lincoln for example), have it fully registered here in South Australia and in most cases even conduct a personal handover to ensure you know how to use it properly; BUT be able to do so at a cheaper price. We can now sell and supply you a new van here in SA for the same price as if you were picking one up at the NSW factory! Austrack Campers did this for years before opening their own showroom in Adelaide, so why not do that ourselves today?

You won't see us at the local industry shows at $10K plus a pop though, nor will we be continuing our CCIASA membership, which gave us (as a dealer) a yearly magazine and not much else over the years anyway.
